I haven’t used this blog in quite some time, but it is time to return to my writing. I’m also in a new school, so I have new things to think about. I am now in the high school setting teaching computer skills – more specific to software applications.
Something to think about:
“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” ~~ Leo Buscaglia (1924 – 1998)
This is week is an exciting week for us techie teachers. Wednesday begins FETC (Florida Educational Technology Conference) in Orlando, FL. I plan to post each evening about my adventures there. It is always enlightening. Someone always has something new for me to learn. I find it to be one of the best places for me to expand my knowledge in technology (besides earning yet another degree). For the price, you can’t beat it. www.fetc.org
Saturday I went to a great SU workshop at my demo’s house. As usual, it was phenomenal. The group of us sent her our list of stamp sets that we don’t use much for her to come up with some card ideas for us. She went over some color selection guides and had a variety of specials for us to purchase – $5 retired stamp sets! Wow! Anyway, we all have to send her a card using some card sketches she gave us. She is so creative and we all need her little boost to get us going. I have to wait until the weekend to stamp since I have a business trip this week, but I am looking forward to being creative.
I ran across an interesting podcast while I was browsing Podomatic for podcasts on PowerPoint. This podcast is from a presentation to teachers about Web 2.0. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about what is being used out there by our students. From heyjude.podOmatic.com
